絞り染めについて / ＳＨＩＢＯＲＩ
藍染めにふさわしい布地にこだわり伝統的な絞り染めの技法を使い現代にも合うナチュラルでポップな絞りの模様を作っています。針、糸、ゴム、チュープ、ロープ等を使いひとつひとつ作ります。その時々で同じものはひとつもなく表情は異なります。物の溢れる時代だからこそ手作りにしかできない表現と色を目指しています。
I use traditional tie-dyeing techniques to create natural and pop patterns that are suitable for indigo dyeing. Each one is made using needles, threads, rubber, tubes, ropes, etc. There is no same thing at that time, and the expression is different. We are aiming for expressions and colors that can only be made by hand because we live in an era full of things.

日の出絞り
白地に素朴な青玉。爽やかな朝日の絞りです。初めてこの絞りを作った時、心がときめきました。わたしが好きな絞りの技法のひとつです。
Rustic blue jade on a white background. It's a refreshing sunrise squeeze. My heart fluttered when I made this diaphragm for the first time. This is one of my favorite squeezing techniques.
日の出絞りの防染しているところ
一針一針丸を縫い縫い締め、芯に布地を巻きつけます。丸以外を糸で縛り、さらにチューブで巻き付け染色します。
時間がかかりますが、糸を解き日の出が顔をのぞかせるとうれしくなります。
Sewing and tightening stitch by stitch in the resist dyeing area of Hinode Shibori, and wrapping the fabric around the core. The parts other than circles are tied with thread, and then wrapped with a tube for dyeing. It takes time, but it makes me happy when I untie the thread and see the sunrise.
帽子絞り
藍とモダンなドット柄。とてもシンプルなこの模様は、円の大きさ、配置、藍の色でアバンギャルドになったり清楚になったり印象が変わります。
Indigo and modern dot pattern. This very simple pattern has a different impression depending on the size of the circles, the arrangement of the circles, and the color of the indigo.
蛍絞り
ぼんやり初夏の夜に浮かぶ蛍の光です。綿を使うことで、柔らかい輪郭となります。
Firefly Diaphragm This is the light of a firefly floating on a vague early summer night. The use of cotton creates a soft outline.
蛍絞り染めた後の綿までも可愛らしい。しかし柔らかそうに見える綿でも重なると固く針を通すのは大変な仕事です。
Even the cotton after hotaru tie-dyeing is cute. However, it is hard work to thread the needle through even cotton that looks soft when it overlaps.
糸を解き水ですすでいるところ
藍の絞染めは、糸で縫って絞り、防染色したり、大変時間のかかるものです。また藍は、ゆっくり染まります。染めては空気や水で酸化させる作業を繰り返し、最後は沢山の水ですすぎ灰汁を抜きます。出来上がったものは思った通りにならないことも有りますが、偶然の面白さや、藍の色と絞りの模様が他とは比較できない魅力になっています。
Threads are untwisted and rinsed with water. Tie-dyeing with indigo requires a lot of time, such as stitching, tying, and anti-dyeing. Indigo dyes slowly. The process of dyeing and oxidizing with air and water is repeated, and finally, the fabric is rinsed with plenty of water to remove the scum. The finished product may not turn out the way I expected, but the fun of chance, the color of the indigo and the pattern of the iris are the charms that cannot be compared with others.
巻き上げ絞り
丸や四角など枠を糸で縫って巻き上げる素朴な技法です。糸を解くと模様が出てきます。糸を巻く回数や枠の形で表情豊かな模様が楽しめます。

It is a simple technique to wind up a frame such as a circle or square with thread. When you untie the thread, the pattern appears. Although it is a simple technique, you can enjoy expressive patterns depending on the number of times the thread is wound and the shape of the frame.
